Easy Christmas Crafts for Kids Popsicle Sticks

Christmas is such an exciting time of year, especially if you have young kids in the house. The excitement that builds as Christmas gets closer is a feeling that I love seeing in my children. Santa is coming, presents are given and best of all, decorating the Christmas Tree. Before I had kids, I wanted my tree to be perfect, not anymore. Now I want the homemade decorations. I want the decorations that were broken because they wouldn't leave the tree alone as babies. I want it to be filled with memories of my little family.

This year we've been making a whole lot of Popsicle Stick Christmas Crafts. They're easy to make, a lot of fun, and can be placed on the tree for many years to come. Here are 25 of the best Popsicle Stick Christmas Crafts from around the world.

I made these with my son last year, they look so cute hanging from our Christmas Tree. This year I'm going to try the Paper Plate Reindeer Craft from Gift of Curiosity. 5. Craft Stick Santa – Happy Hooligans

Craft Stick Santa - Happy Hooligans

This Craft Stick Santa is one of three craft stick idea from Happy Hooligans. In their post Craft Stick Santa, Elf and Reindeer Ornaments you'll also learn how to make an elf and reindeer ornament to keep this cute little Santa company on the Christmas Tree.

Although they're made as ornaments, I really like the idea of using them as some DIY puppets. That way your kids can make their own small world north pole with elves making the toys and reindeer pulling Santa's sleigh. Since they're so compact, it would be so easy to put them into a busy bag if you're traveling around and visiting family this holiday season.

This craft is also a sensory toy, especially if you can find some scratchy or rough material for the hat. Your little ones will love discovering the difference between soft and rough with this activity.

These snowflakes are so easy to make. You can either paint them as I did, or you can glue the already dyed craft sticks together and then glue glitter, sequins or whatever else you like onto them. If you're going down the glitter route, then I highly recommend using glitter glue instead. I don't use anything else. It's so much easier to use and it doesn't make a mess that's impossible to clean up. I can't tell you how ecstatic I was when I first discovered this amazing loose glitter alternative.

I love the cheeky smile on this Grinches face. While I may not share his initial distaste for Christmas, I still think it's a wonderful story. How the Grinch Stole Christmas is one of my favorite Christmas Movies and one that I'll be watching with the kids for many years to come.

This Grinch Craft is from Rainy Day Mum and is the perfect activity to accompany her Grinch Heart Science Experiment. I know that a lot of Christmas activities are centered around arts and crafts. Here she's brought some science into the holiday season.
